Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki” Makes its OTT Debut: Now Streaming, Know Where To Watch?

“Dunki” marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release. Preceding this project, Shah Rukh Khan had delivered two blockbuster hits in 2023: “Pathaan” and “Jawan”, both crossing the coveted ₹1,000 crore mark worldwide. While expectations were high for “Dunki” to follow suit, the film fell short of replicating the success of Khan’s previous ventures.

Explaining his choice of projects for 2023, Shah Rukh Khan had stated that he took on three distinct roles to cater to his “Tan Man Dhan” (Body Mind Soul) – “Pathaan” demanded physical transformation, “Jawan” challenged his intellect, while “Dunki” provided a fulfilling experience for his soul.

Despite not reaching the same heights as Khan’s earlier releases, “Dunki” still managed to garner significant commercial success. The film grossed ₹272 crore in India and an impressive ₹182 crore overseas, accumulating a worldwide box office collection of ₹454 crore.

“Dunki” quickly ascended the ranks to become one of the top-grossing films of Bollywood in 2023. Surpassing notable titles such as “OMG 2” ( ₹221.75 crore), “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” ( ₹223 crore), “The Kerala Story” ( ₹302 crore), “Adipurush” ( ₹350 crore), and “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” ( ₹355.61 crore), “Dunki” secured its place as the 6th highest-grossing film of the year.
