At 1 PM on Friday, Shah Rukh Khan made history at the Indian Box Office with his latest release, “Jawan,” claiming the title of highest-grossing Hindi film. It surpassed the collections of Bahubali 2 (Rs 510 crore), Pathaan (Rs 513 crore), and Gadar 2 (Rs 514 crore). As of Friday noon, ‘Jawan’ has amassed Rs 514 crore, and it is projected to reach around Rs 517 crore by the end of its 23rd day. This achievement cements Shah Rukh Khan’s status as the only actor since Raj Kapoor (1949 – “Barsaat” & “Andaz”) to deliver consecutive all-time blockbusters in the same year.

This surge is anticipated to propel the 26-day total of “Jawan” to approximately Rs 540 crore, with the film likely to eventually cross the Rs 550 crore mark, setting a new benchmark.

In Hindi alone, SRK has already amassed Rs 1030 crore, a figure projected to surpass Rs 1060 crore by the end of “Jawan’s” run. With “Dunki” slated for release during the Christmas 2023 weekend, and the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film expected to draw large family audiences, 2023 promises to be a historic year for SRK, with Hindi net collections anticipated to exceed Rs 1500 crore, and nationwide net earnings around Rs 1600 crore.
