The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has issued a U/A certificate for the upcoming film ‘Fighter,’ featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. However, the board has mandated certain edits, including the removal of ‘sexually suggestive visuals’ and the muting of an offensive term. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie is set to hit theaters on January 25.

In a recent development, the CBFC has cleared ‘Fighter’ for release with a U/A certificate, signaling that the film is suitable for audiences above the age of 12. Despite the certification, the board has instructed the filmmakers to make specific modifications. Notably, the removal of ‘sexually suggestive visuals’ has been mandated, along with muting an offensive term in the movie.
The certification process also required the inclusion of an anti-smoking message in Hindi. Following these adjustments, the film received its U/A certification on January 19, paving the way for its theatrical release on January 25, just ahead of Republic Day.
