Yuvraj Singh Revealed, I Lost Captaincy Because of Sachin Tendulkar and Greg Chappell.

However, he clarified that he harbors no regrets about not becoming the captain. He asserted, “I think my stand was clear. If I had to do it again, I would. I will stand by my decisions; I have no regrets about not becoming the captain.”

Sanjay Manjrekar asked Yuvraj Singh if he did not desire to become the captain of Team India. In response, Yuvraj Singh expressed that he did have the desire to become the captain. However, when the controversy with Greg Chappell arose, he had two options: support Chappell or stand with his teammates. Yuvraj chose to stand with his teammates, a decision that did not sit well with many BCCI officials. He heard that, apart from him, no other player would be made captain by those officials.
