Prabhas to Play Lord Shiva in Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa After Disappointing Fans as Lord Rama in Adipurush

After his recent portrayal of Lord Rama in the critically and commercially panned film Adipurush, Prabhas is all set to play Lord Shiva in the upcoming Telugu film Kannappa. The film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory.

The news of Prabhas’s casting was confirmed by industry tracker Ramesh Bala, who tweeted, “#BREAKING: According to Reliable sources, Rebel Star #Prabhas to act in a major important role in Actor #VishnuManchu ‘s dream project #Kannappa – A True Epic Indian Tale! An exciting collaboration..”

Seemingly confirmed the news by re-tweeting Bala’s post and writing, “Har Har Mahadev”.

Kannappa is a historical drama based on the life of the 8th-century warrior saint Kannappa Nayanar, who is revered as a devotee of Lord Shiva. The film is said to be a visual spectacle with Prabhas playing a pivotal role.

This will be Prabhas’s third film in which he will be playing a god. He previously played Lord Rama in Adipurush and will also be seen as Lord Shiva in the upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD.
