During its original run, Tumbbad collected ₹1.60 crore on its first day, followed by ₹2.60 crore on day two and ₹3.05 crore on day three. The numbers steadily dropped during the weekdays, earning ₹1.70 crore on day four, ₹1.60 crore on day five, and ₹1.35 crore on day six.
However, the re-release is telling a different story. The movie’s resurgence has left both fans and critics re-evaluating its legacy. If the film’s collections continue to grow and meet its budget, it could easily be labeled a hit this time around.
