Housefull 5 Postponed! Akshay Kumar Shares The New Release Date

Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar has taken to social media to share the news of the much-anticipated Housefull 5’s release date being postponed. Originally set for a Diwali 2024 debut, the ensemble comedy will now hit the cinemas on a new date, as per an official statement from producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s official statement read, “The Housefull franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception from Housefull 5. The team has crafted a mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we’ve decided to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with a great cinematic experience.”

Housefull 5 Postponed: New Release Date Out!

Sharing the Housefull 5 poster on X (formerly Twitter), Akshay Kumar accompanied it with Sajid Nadiadwala’s statement, expressing, “5 times the entertainment is on its way! See you in cinemas on 6th June 2025 #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5.” The film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, aims to deliver an enhanced cinematic experience with top-notch VFX, prompting the decision to delay its release.

Riteish Deshmukh also shared the statement on his Instagram Stories, reaffirming the new release date of June 6, 2025.

Originally announced in June, Housefull 5 had set its sights on a Diwali 2024 release. Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, reprising their roles, expressed excitement on Instagram, with Akshay mentioning, “Get ready for FIVE times the madness! Bringing to y’all #SajidNadiadwala’s #Housefull5 Directed by @tarun_mansukhani. See you in cinemas on Diwali 2024!”

Housefull 5 marks a milestone as the first franchise in Indian cinema to reach five installments.
