Shah Rukh Khan is riding high on the success of his recent film, Jawan. Aaliyah Qureishi, a newcomer in the movie, shared an interesting tidbit about the superstar. She revealed that SRK is a huge fan of Indo-Canadian singer AP Dhillon and wanted him to sing a song for the film directed by Atlee. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out.

During an interview with Instant Bollywood, Aaliyah and Lehar Khan were asked about something surprising they learned about Shah Rukh Khan on set. Aaliyah mentioned his admiration for AP Dhillon, saying, “I was also really surprised… because he wanted him to do a song (for Jawan) and it didn’t work out.” When asked which song SRK enjoyed the most, Aaliyah shared that they often jammed to AP’s raps, with ‘Insane’ being the favorite for dancing.
Who is AP Dhillon?
AP Dhillon whose real name is Amritpal Singh Dhillon is an Indo-Canadian singer and record producer associated with Punjabi music. He is known for his unique sound, which blends elements of hip-hop, pop, and R&B with Punjabi folk music. Dhillon has released a number of successful singles, including “Majhail”, “Brown Munde”, and “Excuses”, all of which have topped the Official Charts Company UK Asian and Punjabi charts.
Dhillon was born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, India, and moved to Canada with his family at a young age. He began making music in high school and released his first single, “Fake”, in 2019.
