Popular TV Actor Vikas Sethi, Passes Away at 48 Due to Cardiac Arrest

Actor Vikas Sethi, recognized for his roles in popular TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Sasural Simar Ka, passed away in Nashik on Saturday night. He was 48 years old. Sethi died in his sleep, reportedly from a cardiac arrest.

Sethi Experienced Health Issues Before His Death

According to his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, the couple had traveled to Nashik to attend a family event. Upon reaching her mother’s home, Vikas experienced symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea. Despite these issues, he declined to visit a hospital, opting instead for a doctor to visit him at home.

Jhanvi shared, “When I tried to wake him around 6 a.m. on Sunday morning, he was already gone. The doctor informed us that he had passed away in his sleep due to cardiac arrest.”

Post-Mortem and Final Rites

His body has been sent to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Sethi’s funeral is scheduled to take place in Mumbai on Monday. He leaves behind his wife and their twin sons.

In addition to his television success, Vikas Sethi appeared in the hit 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, where he played Robbie, a friend of Poo (Kareena Kapoor Khan). Sethi’s contribution to Indian television and cinema has left a lasting impact on audiences.
