Pushpa 2: The Rule, the action-packed blockbuster starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has enjoyed a stellar run at the worldwide box office for the first 14 days since its release. However, its box office collections have started to slow down as it entered its third week.
Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared an update on X (formerly Twitter), noting that the film continues to hold onto a large number of screens, even as it faces a slight dip in collections.
In its opening week, Pushpa 2 made a massive impact, grossing ₹282.91 crore on its first day and ₹781.33 crore over its opening weekend. By the end of its first week, the film had raked in a staggering ₹1,032 crore globally.

Film is expected to post a considerable figure over the long Christmas holidays.

As the days went on, the film’s performance saw some fluctuations. On day 8, it earned ₹54.09 crore, followed by ₹49.31 crore on day 9. It reached ₹82.56 crore on day 10 and ₹104.24 crore on day 11. By day 12, it had made ₹45.01 crore, followed by ₹42.63 crore on day 13, ₹39.75 crore on day 14, and ₹28.93 crore on day 15. As of day 15, its total global earnings had reached ₹1,479.06 crore.
Despite the recent dip, Vijayabalan remains optimistic, suggesting that the film could recover its momentum during the upcoming Christmas holiday period, when many viewers flock to cinemas.

In India, Pushpa 2 has also been a major success. The film crossed ₹990 crore at the Indian box office within just 15 days. It made ₹725.8 crore during its first week domestically, and continued to perform well in the second week, earning ₹36.4 crore on its second Friday, ₹63.3 crore on Saturday, and ₹76.6 crore on Sunday. The following days saw a decrease in collections, with ₹26.95 crore on Monday, ₹23.35 crore on Tuesday, ₹20.55 crore on Wednesday, and ₹17.75 crore on Thursday, bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹990.7 crore as of its 15th day.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 follows the story of Pushpa Raj, a sandalwood smuggler fighting to keep his business afloat amid a bitter rivalry with Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. The film also features a strong ensemble cast, including Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
With the Christmas holidays ahead, Pushpa 2 still has a chance to recover from the recent slowdown and continue its strong performance at the box office.
