Rituraj Singh, a popular television actor, passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence in Mumbai late Monday night. He had been battling pancreatic illness and was recently admitted to the hospital.
Singh, known for his roles in movies like “Badrinath Ki Dulhania,” “Satyameva Jayate 2,” and “Yaariyan 2,” was also associated with Delhi’s Barry John Theatre Group. Both Singh and Shah Rukh Khan shared a deep friendship, having been juniors together in the theater group.
Friendship Story of Rituraj and Shah Rukh Khan
During an interview, Singh fondly recalled his friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, stating that they bonded over their early days in theater. Shah Rukh Khan, who debuted in the film “In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones,” had a supporting role alongside Singh. Directed by Pradeep Krishna and written by Arundhati Roy, the film won a National Film Award but was released on television instead of in theaters.

Singh remembered Shah Rukh Khan as someone eager to learn new things, even in their early days. Despite achieving stardom, Shah Rukh Khan maintained a friendly demeanor, according to Singh. Singh expressed admiration for Shah Rukh Khan’s positive outlook, stating that he was someone who never harbored ill will towards anyone, even in his dreams.
