The release date for the much-anticipated spy-thriller film ‘War 2’ has been officially announced by the makers. The film, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in pivotal roles, is set to hit theaters on Independence Day 2025.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, ‘War 2’ marks the first collaboration between Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan on the big screen. The film’s announcement gained momentum when Yash Raj Films introduced Hrithik’s ‘War 2’ character in a post-credit scene from the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger 3,’ creating a buzz on social media and heightening fans’ anticipation for the sequel.

This sequel follows the success of the 2019 action thriller ‘War,’ directed by Siddarth Anand and featuring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vani Kapoor. ‘War’ became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films in 2019, crossing the 200-crore mark within seven days of its release.
Hrithik Roshan is also set to captivate audiences in the upcoming aerial action thriller ‘Fighter,’ directed by Siddharth Anand, where he will be seen alongside Deepika Padukone. On the other hand, Jr NTR is gearing up for the Pan-India film ‘Devara,’ co-starring Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles.
