Yes its true, Akshay Kumar never got an award for best actor award from any big award show in India. He always got awards best actor in comic, best actor (Popular choice), he even got best villain award but he never got the main Best Actor award.
Akshay kumar has done many appreciable movies in his career but all the big award shows of India like Iifa, Zee Cine Awards, Star Dust Awards, Filmfare etc never thought he is a deserving actor for Best Actor award. He only got best actor award by Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award for Rowdy Rathore.
But Akshay Kumar bagged his very first National Award for best actor in Rustom. Today at 64th National Film Awards he won the best actor award and proved everyone that hard work can make anything possible.
