In a recent development concerning the sexual harassment case filed by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, known for her role as Mrs. Roshan Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), the verdict has been delivered. The case involved allegations against the show’s producer, Asit Modi. According to a report by ETimes, the verdict has come out in Jennifer’s favor.
The report states that the hearing ruled in Jennifer’s favor, with Asit Modi being directed to settle her outstanding dues and pay an additional ₹5 lakh as compensation. Jennifer, confirming the news, expressed her satisfaction with the outcome, stating that it validates her allegations supported by strong evidence.

Jennifer revealed that Asit Modi has been ordered to clear her pending payments along with additional compensation, amounting to approximately ₹25-30 lakh. Furthermore, an extra ₹5 lakh has been imposed on Asit for harassment. However, despite the verdict being issued on February 15, 2024, Jennifer was instructed not to disclose it to the media.

Expressing her sentiments towards the verdict, Jennifer emphasized the importance of a woman’s reputation and voiced her disappointment over not receiving her due amount despite the ruling being in her favor. She spoke out about the toxic environment on the TMKOC set, revealing instances of actors facing hardships such as wearing unwashed costumes for extended periods and struggling for basic necessities like water.
